I was planning on getting a 9800GTx2, and I wanted to know what "watt-age" my power supply should be at. Like 600W, 700W, 800W, etc.

Well I was thinking for my new computer it would be something like:

500GB HDD
Intel Q6600 Quad Core +OC
4GB RAM
9800GTx2 (SLI Ready)
XFX 790i Ultra SLI Motherboard

use one of these calculators
http://corsair.com/psufinder/default.aspx
http://www.extreme.outervision.com/powercalc.jsp

first one is corsair
other is antec

Lower power consumption, smaller, lower heat output, no SLi compatibility issues/microstutter.

Hm...I could get that. Its made by ATI/AMD though right, so its not SLI ready? Would it be able to work with the mobo?

A single one will work, but not a multi-card setup (Crossfire.)

For Crossfire you need a board based off of an Intel chipset, but those are superior to nVidia chipsets anyway.
