Green Day : Boulevard of broken dreams
I really like the guitar in the back and it just sounds relaxing.
Since I never really listened to rock (if this is considered rock) I would like a lot of suggestions like this song. Please and thank you.
Also, if I'm wrong could someone tell me the genre of the song?

Hmm... I did sorta knew some songs like Green Day, but I did moved onto metal and screamo so.. can't help with that there. Sorry.

Lol, hardcore is an aquired taste.
I started with Allternative > Punk rock > Rock > Metal > Metalcore/Hardcore > Melodic death > Screamo
But back on topic, some 'soft rock' bands you might want to check out:
Creed
12 Stones
Live
Nickelback (Not really soft rock, but most people like them :3)
Nirvana
Sick Puppies (Might be a little harder than what you looking for, but still good)
Staind < Great band, I think you'll like them
