Broken iPod? or glitchy?

Half my iPod is blank. I have an iPod nano, first generation, black, and I have screen protector, and a case around the whole iPod. But now, when I turn it on, the bottom half of the screen is white/blank and I can only see the top. Did I blow a fuse somehow? Break the LCD? Do I have to get a new iPod now?

Pixels are dead, you probably wet it with some liquid and now it can't view.

there are some dead pixels fixer i know there is one for psp it is a homebrew. Just call the manufacturer and ask for help.

I did, but becuase my iPod was over a year old, my warranty expired, and they're trying to get me to BUY additional warranty.

Bring it to the store you bought it from, and ask them to fix it.

I got it from target.. i highly doubt they're going to help me. Oh yeah. and I dont think its just a couple of dead pixels... its HALF the entire screen...

Uhhm, LCD is broken'd, Try and mod it, and get some homebrew app.

Look for a Irepair or something similar i got a new screen for 40$ for my old ipod nano.

That place is a rip off, I went there to repair my second generation Ipod
Nano (the one with the bigger screen), and they offered me a price of
$190. I can get a new one with that money.

get some insurance for it, make sure it covers everything
wait a few weeks after insurance is sorted then tell them it's fucked
probably will work out cheaper than paying someone to repair it and you might even get a brand new 1

This picture is not my ipod, but it shows the same exact thing that mine is doing..

I tried Apple support, entered my ipod serial key, and it said "your warranty has expired" and it asked if i wanted to purchase additional warranty
