I'm quite good at it, post a request for a portable app here, along with where I can download the regular app, and I'll try my best to convert it for you.
Please be aware that portable apps work beautifully because they don't require the registry to run.
Some programs DO require the registry and CANNOT become portable.
But it's pretty rare.
Right now I'd make a portable Flash CS3 but it's been done.

I don't think there's a tutorial for it on the web, I just sorta figured it out myself.
You have to gather all files that the app uses like the common files and such, as well as the program files, and toss them in a folder.
Then you have to decompile the guts and take out registry dependencies (most programs can work without these but like I said some can't) as well as automatic updates and any other dependent processes that may be program-specific.
You have to completely remove all traces of that program from your computer's registry and common files now that you have it in one place.
You have to test drive to make sure it works, then package and distribute it.
That's my method at least.
And if it's a crack/portable combo then you need to change the registration info so it's already a full version.
That's all I can really give you without making a program specific example, but like I said I'm open to requests.
edit:
Google found some tutorials but I can't look at them, besides it's from windows so they probably twist the truth to make it seem impossible.

I guess, but its going to be wasting space *2. Since it extracts then executes, which isn't what we want to do. We want to package all it needs into an executable. You can see example's in Keritio's portable games thread in GD. I'm probably going to scout WBB for a Portable Making AIO soft that'll teach me how.

I lol'd so hard at that, the only thing he accomplished is taking apart the installer and building a new one.
It does the same thing.
If you fine a AIO on WBB let me know, I'm sure my method is ghetto although it works.
