It's rare that it'd 'blow up', but something within the laptop would fry.
Although, yes, anything is possible, so, don't do anything stupid unless you don't really care about the laptop.

My laptop gets hot enough to burn someone. I leave it on pretty much all the time, but the dvd drive got fried and the monitor cracked because of the heat. Your laptop should shutdown long before it explodes or sets something on fire. If you do want to keep it scorching all day, I recommend taking out the battery. It could be bad if that thing breaks. Also prop it up so the hottest part of it (normally where the CPU is) doesn't touch anything and is only sitting above air.

lol ok. im botting on it and turning it off every couple of hours.

i also turn it upside down next to the window. hopefully that'll help it.

It is impossible 110 degrees Celcius is boiling.
How the hell can a laptop get to 120 degrees Celcius?

Oh, you might be correct about the silicon and it's higher boiling
temperature but the elements and the machinery inside won't withstand
the heat.

Water DEFINITELY boils at 100 C. I learnt that in grade 1!
