|
|
I am working on a small project and i need to make something to keep it from exploding...
To keep it from exploding it needs to let out the liquids gas that has evaporated. If it does not, then it will explode.
My idea was to make some sort of top lid, that when there is pressure on it, tiny holes will open at the top to release some gas. When the pressure goes down they will close up again.
I was thinking of having a tube type thing, then the pressure builds and pushes up on the second lid. When the second lid reaches the first lid it will open up small holes. I have still not thought of a good idea of how to perform this.

Okay so this was one of my best ideas so far. The pressure inside will build up, and it will be pushing on all sides, correct? Then it will push up on the black plastic and open a hole on the side.
The pressure will release out of the canister and the pressure will decrease, allowing the black plastic to go back down.
The plastic will cover the hole, allowing no more pressure or release.
I am also going to attack a special tip to it, so it will only allow pressure out and not anything else in.
