I am a freshman, but I learn things here and there, and from what I learn Theories can't be theories without them being questioned and conflicted, so those theories have flaws but mine is basically saying that monkeys or a relative of its species, 10,000 years ago made a deformed or better yet, mutated baby, and that baby grew up to make more with its gene, and after a few decades or so, they made a kind of related species relating to a less intelligent beings related to humans, then those less intelligent being had one that was smart as us today, resulting in it sharing its gene to others and thus resulting to the cavemen, over time those cavemen thought of stuff and made the Indian world, after that its from here on out. |

Yeah, cavemen is pretty much the EXACT species we are now.
It's not been even close to enough time for us to evolve further, especially since we've always been doing our best to stop the idea of "those with the best genes reproduce", and therefore, our evolution has slowed down.
And now it's completely stopped, when it comes to humans anyhow.
So, the only thing that's "Improved" since then is our culture (tells you a bit about how important school is, eh? Without it, you'd be as smart as the caveman you are)
Anyhow, a human is an animal.
If you mean "sentient", it's the ability of thinking about yourself as a being (animals apparently think more along the lines of "I", than "Alex, the teenager math nerd", if you understand that)
There's of course also our ability to "loop" our reasoning into itself (basically, our ability to think about our thoughts) |

We're one of the mammals that has opposable thumbs which lets us grab things. And make love just for the heck of it instead of survival of the species. The only crap we suck at is the ability to detect natural disasters in advance like the other animals.
The other mammal which has the same thought about love making like us are dolphins.

Actually, there are some monkeys that scientists suspect make love for the heck of it as well.
Forgot the name of the species, but search around a bit for some monkeys with a low fertility rating, and you'd probably find it (either that, or mind-scarring images) |
