Well, he basically disproves the theory of Global Warming in that book. And he has all these references (you know the asterisks and cross references) linking to real (I'm not sure) scientists quotes. I was wondering if anyone else who read the book knows if those were real references or not. Because if so, then, well, uh I guess Global Warming is disproven Laughing

crichton is my favorite author! i just finished congo, travels, andromeda strain, almost done with terminal man....he is also has fantastic opinions on the brain

Ok, well I asked my brother. He says that the references are true but they don't necessarily disprove the theory of global warming. He also said Crichton isn't trying to persuade people to believe that either, just he is saying that people should look at all the information, and the big picture instead of jumping to conclusions. And he is on of my favorite authors too. Jurassic Park, the movie, was so fucking horrible though (if you read the book). I wanted to punch Steven Spielberg and Michael Crichton in the face (he helped write the screenplay x_x).

I could find you some references in the book opposing glaciers melting as evidence but I don't feel like going through every page 400-500 just to find it lol.

well thats what made me angry terminal man isnt that good.....andromeda strain is the crappiest ending ever.....great though if your in bio or something explains alot!

I actually couldn't finish the movie. I got like what half way through and then said "Fuck this bullshit I have better stuff to do." and went to a friends house.

There's actually nothing in there in the book. That or I haven't gotten to it yet. But I'm pretty far, 480 something out of 567.
