No. Try reading up.
They're trying to see what happened in the first few seconds after the BB. They're reaching new limits of temperatures. This will allow them to see new parts of the physics of this universum.

There's a lot that can be learned from LHC. So much in fact, that it could prove or disprove religion entirely, and I think that's why all these stupid rumors of it being dangerous and creating black holes are so widespread, because religious nuts don't wanna be proven wrong.
