I need your oppinion this machine was given to me by a friend but i want to upgrade it any idea and how much you think ill have to waste?

cheapest way: buy another 1gb RAM (at least) and an nvidia 8800 gfx card

Ew same gfx pos card as me i still need to upgrade mine but what they said above get some more memory in there, cpu is fine plenty fast, an upgrade the video card

He cannot get a 8800GTX card because that board does not use PCIe, only AGP. For AGP cards go with ATI HD 3850 AGPas most of Nvidia's latest gen are only PCIe.

ic good stuff so i think i can expand my ram to 4gb is that a good idea my cousins said not too because i dont have some dual something...

you could do but it wouldn't really be needed with XP

i have 4gb ram but i use vista a quad core cpu and a decent gfx card :/

You wouldn't benefit from 4GB on that machine. 2GB would be ideal.
