Mkay. Confusing story.
My computer is infected with various malware and a Win32 Parite a/b/c. I don't want to reformat, either.
So I have a big bomb of transferable viruses.
My friend lent me his copy of Counter Strike Source, and told me to copy it.
I plugged the USB CORD INTO MY COMPUTER, BUT DID NOT PLUG OTHER END INTO CS:S BOX. Then, I remembered that my comp had viruses, so I quickly unplugged the usb cord.
So, when I plug it into a non-virused computer, will the computer get viruses?
Refer to diagram for info.

| Quote: | | Win32/Parite is a family of polymorphic file infectors that targets computers running Microsoft Windows. The virus infects .exe and .scr executable files on the local file system and on writeable network shares. In turn, the infected executable files perform operations that cause other .exe and .scr files to become infected. |
you could reformat the usb drive once your done

No, I mean that if I don't plug the other end of usb cord into the hard drive, would it still get infected when I plug it into another comp?
Edit:
Oh, I seem to have forgotten my diagram... It's added now.

That drive may probably not get infected since the USB port is too weak to power up the drive, thus the requirement for a external power adapter.

if it is a usb storage device it can be infected, yes
since yours doesn't look like it has memory it should be ok
d/l nod32 trial, update virus signature database and do a full scan

I don't think there should be a problem.
As far as I can tell from your diagram, you didn't have the USB cord connected to your external hardrive.
And (correct me if my wrong) but I don't think a USB cord can hold data.

| Nope, not having the power plugged in to power your external HD won't even turn it on so You're safe.

No becasue
1.The hardrive wasn't powered on so nothing can go in or out of it,
2.a usb cable was connected but not both ways, viruses can not travel through a usb cavle and fly through air into a external hdd...
