I have SP2 right now, and was wondering if I should upgrade to sp3 and if it would affect programs negatively? Should I upgrade

with antivirus, you might not even be able to boot up after the installation.

I myself am perfectly fine with my WinXPSP2, so I'm not getting SP3.

I have SP3 and it works great.

It fixes like 1000+ bugs and even adds a few extra things to notepad
and other proggies.

But for me the automatic update didn't work, so I had to download it manually..

Yeah, I'd like to know why exactly it would be such an improvement. Been googling for some advantages of SP3 as opposed to SP2, but couldn't find any real ones.
