What is the PSU standard for it?.
to be clearly the wattage.

PSU is that power box usually located at the back top of your CPU

^^ i dont think he is asking WHAT a PSU is... or where it is.

He is asking how much power does it take. I think you need atleast a 400w PSU for it to work, though im not 100 percent sure. You could google "Power Supply Requirements 8800GT" or something similar.

I am planning to get this

for my dimension 4700 any thoughts? i should have the minium requirements.

The 8800GT needs at least 24amps on the +12v rails.
And according to another poster from somewhere else it says
BFG says at least 28amps on the +12, Nvidia: at least 26amps +12v.

You need a better PSU than the one you've picked.

CoolerMaster, Antec, SeaSonic are all pretty good (according to personal experiences). All you have to do is add up the +12v rails to get your total amps.
Take a look at the specs page and do it from there.

Since you ask which one to suggest...don't tell that I didn't warn ya.

Lol I got a crap computer running 2 500gb drives and 1 cddrive and a 8800GT + E4500..
Works just fine with only 375watt crap psu.

DO SOME GOD DAMN RESEARCH!
All of these fuckin post, all says you need a good watts psu where they they left out an important factor and that's the total amps. on the +12v rails!

Seriously here's one to look at.

Graphics cards use between 100-200. That new radon 4870 X2 uses 280 watts of man juice.
