Can I have some help here? There's a term in programming books that I come across often but have no idea how is it executed.

Example :

Trace the code to its call at the following code:

Is tracing something like finding the original call function ( Only know this term =/ )?

And how do one actually go about tracing the code to its call?

Can anyone help me here? I tried searching online for tutorials on tracing and how to trace but did not get any solid results.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

You use a debugger such as OllyDBG to trace. It basically runs the program instruction by instruction and saves the mnemonic and the register states as well as checks for a quit condition.
