|
|
In short:
My 'Objective' is to make a webpage that displays a table,
which it retrieves from another location.
The reason:
I need to do this is because my website host does not
allow "quick ftp" transfer. But I have a server which does.
So I could upload a table to my server simply by clicking a button,
and then my website which is located on another server,
would automatically show the table.
(retrieves data from the other server)
Possible to do it using only HTML or HTML+Javascript?
(and no, I am not moving my website to the server I mentioned...)
So instead of dumb questions and stupid suggestions,
I wish to get real answers with explanations.
The table format doesn't really matter. (CSV, Excel?)

Computer talk.. I don't think so. General programming.. maybe.
If a mod feels like this is in the wrong section, or fits better in some other section, shall move it. Enough of this.
Any real answers?

Javascript alone can't read files from what I have read with a few Google searches. If you have access to PHP you can do it though. (Or if you are able to use AJAX things you can do it as well with Javascript then.)
If you have access to PHP and MySQL you could use those to store and print the data out in a table. Or if you just have PHP you can do it as well.
