I downloaded a demo for a game called Mount&blade. It's some indie game but for some reason i can't get cheat engine to scan the memory so i can give myself some gold.

everytime i try to scan the memory it come up with an error
"Error while scanning:No readable memory found in the region you specified!"

wtf is going on here? I am at a loss as to why this is not working.

yes, weird. Some kind of cheat protection.
Anyhow, go to settings->extra and enable "query memory region routines"
then open the process with ce

oh yes, if you have a recent cpu with the execute disable bit go to c:\boot.ini and change /noExecute=OptIn to /NoExecute=AlwaysOff (i've go myself one of those systems so I can finally fix it for next version, but in the meanwhile, just use this)

Also, i recommend you execute this quick fix regarding a registry bug. (else you might have to go to settings every time you run ce)

as for the debugger part, that'll be fixed in the next version (not really needed though as it seems most addresses stay at the same spot and are easily found)

yup works nicely
the gold is a exact value search as is the skill and weapon points,

when you find the STR address the AGI, INT and CHA are all in the same line in the hex pane in the memory view window,

very nice game,
well done to the writers for making this as good as it is for a 34 meg download,

Is this an actual game that you can purchase at a store or is it just one of those games you have to buy through the website thats hosting it.Because the graphics look ok on it...

it's a free full game download. the limit is when you get to level 6. you have to buy the serial..

i have cheats for mount&blade here they r:

Press configure and change debug to 1
then press the following for the effects.

Control + X in inventory screen: + 1000 denars
Control + X in Character screen: + 1000 xp
Control + X in party screen: Upgrade selected unit
Control + left click on map: Teleport party
Control + T on map: Toggle Truesight (See all parties)
Control + H in battle: Restore Health
