I would recommend a Corsair PSU (like the one you chose), but I think 750W is a little overboard. I'm pretty sure your system will run on 650W just fine.

As for thermal paste, if you are going to spend money on it, Arctic Silver 5 FTW.

Fix the OS linik. Vista x86 or x64 should suit you fine (unless you prefer XP).

CPU cooler: Ultra 120, Big Typhoon (revised version), or the Tuniq Tower.

I would get Vista Ultimate, as it gives you far more control over the OS. But it's your choice. And it's not a whole lot more expensive.

Since you're getting a third part cooler, then you might want to get the OEM version of the Q6600. It'll save you a few dollars.

Yeah, that's the Tuniq Tower. All of the coolers that I recommended are pretty big, so make sure you get a case that will accommodate it, but I'm positive that most every mid-tower case should fit it.
