any decent 64bit system can use 8gb of ram though it isn't really needed.

it can't run windows XP 32bit, Vista 32bit. the OS itself just can't handle that much. if you use 64 bit edition, it might not run all 32 bit softwares.

hehe, it can get even worse, apple has computers that have up to 64 GB's of RAM, for just 54 thousand or so.

A fews from now and 8gig will be the minimum.
Anyway I've saw on the Asus forums one dude who overclocked his ram and cpu-z (probably with a glitch) sees it as 197GB and he validated it!

Holy..
I find it a little excessive to have that much..
But, if he can afford it and uses it, then good for him.

64 bit can do 8 gigs. But it's not really necessary. I rather run 4 gigs on 32 bit.

I don't think he should overclock if he has no idea what to do. The risk isn't just worth it. If he screws up, it's going to suck for him.

| 8GB of RAM isn't that godly. You're forced to use a x64 OS or you can only utilize 3GB. x64 OS's suck. A lot of software don't run.
