Anyone of you ever ran CineBench 10 or encode a video to an iPod using Nero Recode?

They are multi-threaded apps and a 8 core cpu is the sweet spot. Cool

Being a new technology, my guess is to get one of these suckers, the cheapest one would be at least $500 in quantity of 1000. Street price may be like $550-$600 a pop.

I wouldn't expect 8 cores in your desktop at a reasonable price any time soon

also a revised hyper threading is making a return. 8 cores = 8 physical 8 logical, so in theory you can take better advantage of more threads than 8.
