i need help with this math problem:
3X - Y - Z = 5
3X + 2Y -Z = 11
6X - 3Y + 2Z = -12
Find X, Y, and Z
>_>
i keep getting stuck and confused ._.
if possible please show work ._.

Damn, I thought this was CP.
But, oh well this is easy.
First you use the elimination method where you eliminate one variable from two equations such as,
3X - Y - Z = 5 and
6X - 3y + 2Z = -12
Multiply the first equation by 2.
6X - 2Y - 2Z = 10
+ 6X - 3Y + 2Z = -12
12x - 5y = -2
Now, you got rid of the Z variable. You now must find another two equations to cancel out another Z variable to get X and Y.
So, equations 2 and 3 now. You can not use the same equations twice.
3X + 2Y - Z = 11
and
3X - Y - Z = 5
Multiply the second equation by -1
-3X - 2Y + Z = -11
+ 3X - Y - Z = 5
-3Y = -6
Y = 2
Now find the X and Y
12X - 5Y = -2
12X + Y = 10
Multiply the first X,Y equation by -1
-12X + 5Y = 2
+ 12X + Y = 10
6Y = 12
Y = 2
Now plug in Y for one of the X,Y equations
12X + (2) = 10
12X + 2 = 10
12x = 8
X = 3/4
Now plug in X and Y for any of the three equations above.
3X - Y - Z = 5
3(3/4) - 2 - Z = 5
9/4 - 2 - Z = 5
And you go on from there. =)
I think I did something wrong maybe. But you try it out.

I got
X= 5/9
Z = -14/3
Y = 4/3
I'm fixing my scanner xP I'll write it down I guess
3X - Y - Z = 5
3X + 2Y -Z = 11
6X - 3Y + 2Z = -12
6X+Y-2Z=16
4Y-4Z=28
<<Y-Z=7>>
2Y-Z=2
Y3X+Y=3 (())
3X-2Z=13
3X+Y=3
3X-2Z=13
2Y+Z=-2
Y+2Z=-10
2Y-2Z=14
3Y=4
[[[Y=4/3]]]
8/3 + Z =-2
[[Z= - 14/3 ]]
3X+Y=3
3X+4/3=3
[[X=5/9 ]]

I got y=2
x=2/3
z= -5
3X - Y - Z = 5
3X + 2Y -Z = 11
6X - 3Y + 2Z = -12
1.
3X - Y - Z= 5
-3X -2Y + Z= -11 (remove Z and X)
-3Y = -6
Y=2
2. substitube Y into two equations.
3X - 2 - Z = 5
6X -6 +2 Z = -12
3X -Z = 7(simplied)
6X +2Z=-6
6X -2Z=14(remove z)
6X +2Z=-6
12X =8
X=2/3
4-2Z=14
-2Z=10
Z=-5

but if it is -1 =2z then that is an expression not an equation and there are
equal signs therefore it is an equation.
