The byte at the end is the checksum.... is there anyway to bypass that? Would I have to use something like olly to see how those are caculated? If so, is there any good noob-friendly tutorials about using olly, maybe for finding the checksum?

Weird, looks like it adds 0x19 (25) everytime. (0x27 + 0x19 = 0x40, +0x19 = 0x59, +0x19 = 72)

Who knows, it might be just a coincidence.

Send the packet a few more times, see if its:
8B
A4
BD
and so on...

Alright, I'm getting extremly close, I was stumped on what you said eariler about the 0x19, but I finly figured out, that when the hex is decoded into dec (I used translator, binary), it increases by 25. I sent the packet a few more times, increasing the dec by 25 and encoding it to hex. But when I used that number at the end, and sent it, it still d/c'd me..
