How similiar is Javascript and C? If you know the web design language Javascript, can you code programs and trainers in C, or is it way different?
Someone said they are very similar, so I was just curious... Sounds like a dumb question, but I wanna know.

Parts of the syntax can be similar to one another.
Some sample Javascript Code:

And you can see various C code in this section. Anyway, they have similar parts but, just knowing Javascript doesn't mean you will undestand or know C right off the bat. (If thats what you are getting at.)

Also, in Javascript, there are "expando-properties" (as my dad calls them, I don't know their real names). Basically, there are no such things as "types", just "var"s, and "var"s have any number properties that you can make out of thin air.
| Code: |
var x = 0;
x.y = 12;
x.z = "asdf";
x.asdfa9w84ejaowiejfaoid8fg = "jkl;";
|
In short, Javascript is much more loosely-typed than C.
