When i boot and get to the screen where you see "Windows XP" and that progress bar, well it freezes then resumes, then freezes again then it resumes and starts loading, any idea why?
the only way to fix this is by formating =/

I think it freezes because it's detecting your hardware (evident with the num lock, caps lock, and scroll lock flashing on/off). Not sure though.

I think superweapons might be correct.
My old pc (factory made) didnt do that but my new one does (pingo made). Even with a fresh install.
I live in a mysterious world of computers. I feel lost!

The problem could be because of hardware conflicts or could also be a software conflict. Although, you might want to start with testing your hardware before moving onto and looking into software conflicts.
Good luck.

Doesn't sound like an issue worth wondering about to me.

does it even make it longer for you to boot? if it doesn't i'd just leave it. my computer pauses once for like a second, but that's normal.

If it stops loads stops loads then finally loads your OS... why are you even asking about this?
Its normal. Just not as normal as different outcomes.
