Now that that is out of the way Smile

, I am trying to hack cash in Dawn Of War v1.40. Because it increases every second, i figured the value would be a float and it is. Now I am trying to make a pointer to said value and it is just evil. No mater what I do, when I manually search for the pointer value using 4 byte, hex it doesnt come up. Now I have tried doing a pointer scan and checking for 1-4 lvl pointers and no luck or it returns a huge amount (over 800)

There is a screen below as I figure I need to use Load Floating Point Value to make my pointer but when I do a search using the addy it gives me nothing comes up. Any help would be great.

Ok so, it found around 800 when you used pointer scan.
Thats good.
Now close the game and leave CE open to the list of pointers you found.
Run the game again, then attach CE back to it.
Then in pointer scan window, click pointer scan and then rescan memory for changed pointers.
You will see a decrease in this list of 800 down to valid pointers.
Then just choose one. I would use the first one in the list Smile

EDIT:

It is asking for the address when I rescan, do I use the original addy or do I have ti find the new money addy and scan with that?

Yep, use the cash address you find again.

You have to find the address again so it can check the pointers.

Thanks Labyrnth, I found 15 and all 15 of them work so I only needed to pick one. Thanks you made it idiot proof which most of the tuts dont do. I think I will use the Pointer scan more often now, it is a very powerful tool.

Im getting better with it, I would like to write a tut on it but my heat sink is going all retarded on me so I don't know when it will happen
