Hi guys, I was testing my understanding of pointers against the Pinball, trying to find the pointer that stores the number of pinballs remaining. Finding the address was easy enough and finding the what writes to the address was straightforward. But , a Hex scan of possible pointer address returns 346 values. Help, any way I can escape going through all 346 of them. I will probably get lost in the middle of nowhere.

just add a few of the first addresses to the address list, if you can see any green addresses in the list they should be static addys,
any way the static address you can see by disassembling at 010140cc
->010140cc mov ecx,[01023638]
the ball and score both use this as their pointer,
the ball pointer has 146 as the offset and the score has 52 as the offset,
so you can just enter those addresses as pointers into your address list with those offsets and you will see which of those addresses are the true pointers,
I think it is the second or third in your found addresses that is the master pointer, been a couple of years since I did that with pinball,since then everbody and their grandmother has done a pinball tut.
