All of the sudden its wicked slow.

Takes like 5 mins for any web-page to load.

Tried IE and Firefox browsers. Both the same problem...


Note: On wireless network.
Brothers comp = wireless is fine - same network
Moms comp = wireless is having same problem as me - same network

Andrew man, you made at least 2 posts about the same topic, please try to avoid doing that in future.

I took the time out to write a decent informed reply to you, but it was to your other post on the same problem. Please check the info I have put on that for you.

In regards to your 'shared gateway', that is simply your router that it is showing. It appears when UPnP (universal plug-and-play < google it) is enabled on both your PC and router. It is common to have it on by default on the routers, but a lot of times now you don't see it on your PC.

Its ok, and can be perfectly safe, but just make sure you have a half-decent firewall and anti-virus

it is posible that some one is using your internet if you don't have a fire wall i advise you to download zonealarm use google its how i found mine its completely free it it works great i been 3 years with out no body hacking altho 600 people tryed to hack me and if some did hack me id reroute them to a goverment computer lmfao and screw them up XD anyway keep a watch on your naighbors that is posible lots of people do it infact someone is trying to steal mine but thanks to zonealarm they get slaped accross the face xD also you should contact your service provider also there might be like a car accident and a telephone poll got knocked down theres lots of posiblitys xD
