If RS is still decreasing post count thats why, or if a topic has been deleted with posts from you in it. That would explain it also.
No mod can mess with your post count directly unless they delete posts.

there is a small chance of losing 5, or even 50 postcount when you post in random spam.
Also, when a mod deletes one of your posts, your postcount drops with 3. Looks like 2 of your posts got deleted

WHAT?!?! user601?!?!?! For serious????? Making a post????????
But yeah, you made some spam posts and I deleted them. Like what user601 said, your post count goes down by 3 for each single post I delete. Punishment for spamming to up your post count. May I add that if you happened to chose to whine about it that would not be to your benefit.
One guy I dropped his posts from 900 something to 0 because he made so many utterly useless posts. I had to delete over 300 individual posts for that. DB rarely uses his admin powers to edit post count, except when someone is ridiculously breaking the rules (ToSy's spam yesterday).
