An 81-year-old man from Burleigh Heads, Australia, downloaded plans to build a killer robot from the Internet, built the complex machine, and then used it to kill himself in his driveway.

The robot could be remotely operated to fire a gun, and the man attached the machine to a .22 semi-automatic pistol loaded with four bullets.

He positioned the device so that it fired multiple shots into his head after he activated it.

In his notes, the man explained that he chose the driveway location because construction workers at a nearby site would hear the shots and find his body, which they did.

His notes also talked about his struggles with relatives who thought that he should move out of his home and into an assisted care facility.

He was 81, If he didn't die then and there I'm sure a couple seconds after death would have brought him down.

Now that I think about it, I'm not sure I believe the story, that he built the robot to kill himself. You don't build robots to kill yourself, you build them to kill everyone else. He's 81, he couldn't have lived much longer anyway. He was probably depressed and decided to build the robot to give his life some sort of meaning. Since it's a proven fact that robots flip out and kill everyone, including their creator, somewhere in the general area of 100% of the time, I don't believe it was planned. It could have of course been a malfunction too, either way, he could have just killed himself much easier without a robot, so he obviously planned for it to go on a killing spree.

He obviously didn't need to be in a home if he could make a machine to fire multiple gun shots into your head.
