How do I cheat?

I started cheat engine tutorial 2.4 but the NEXT button is greyed out (inaccesible) even after doing all that was written for STEP 1.
What to do?

run cheat engine WITHOUT ANY STEALTHMODE on
the next button will then become clickable.

and get cheat engine 5.0, the tutorial there doesn't disable the button (got tired of hearing the same questions all the time, like what's the password, wh's the button disabled etc...)
