Idk I'm really getting confused here... I have VB 2008 and its really different from VB 2006 because all of the coding is fucking screwed up.

But I would think yes, 2003 is different from 2006.

There is no 2006.

Later VB versions (past 6) are on the .NET framework.

Visual Basic 6 = no .NET, created Mid 1998

Visual Basic .NET + .NET 2003:
Two different versions, the original Visual Basic .NET was released with the other suite of the original .NET languages in 2002. It wasn't too popular at the time of creation either.

.NET 2003 was released with the 1.1 update of the .NET framework which offered a lot more to VB.NET and made people pay more attention to it then.

VB.NET = VB7
VB.NET 2003 = VB7.1
VB.NET 2005 = VB8

So with VB6 you could run your apps on a computer without .net framwork?

VB6 does not touch .NET at all. VB6 was created before .NET was even out. The only thing VB6 uses is the normal system API as well as its own runtime.
