|
|
Well, as you may or may not know, my main computer has been completely f**ked up by IDA (I'm resorting to trying to fix the MBR after I back up my data), so I'm stuck on a little laptop.
This laptop only has SP1, and the last time my family upgraded from 1 to 2, the computer blew up; we always slipstream SP2 into a windows install. Since none of us really feel like reinstalling Windows on this thing, and it might not even be able to handle SP2, I can't install VS 2005+. This thing has VS 2003 on it, but it doesn't have the C++, and I have no idea what happened to the CD/whatever we used.
My main question though, is what is a good compiler (as in, not Dev-C++) that I can use on a SP1 machine?
Thanks to anyone who answers

Probably Visual Studio 6 as it contains the original version of VC++

Could you tell me where I might be able to get that?
Usually Google doesn't help with these types of things.

-.-;
My dad told me something like the creators of UltraEdit have something like UltraStudio; I'm gonna check that out.
Offtopic:
My data is being copied to an external hard drive!
'Bout an hour till everything's done, and I can try to fix the master boot records (last resort--stupid windows cd doesn't work).
