title.Can any1 point out the difference cause i wanna learn c# but wats the diff of .net and no .net so i noe wat books to find.

Well, the difference is that C#.NET exists, and C# (no .NET) doesn't exist.

There is no C# without the .NET framework, I'm pretty sure


Edit:

After thinking about it enough, I suppose you could just dereference all of the .NET assemblies, and recreate all of your data types and what not, but that'd be a HUGE pain in the ass; you'd do best to just stick with the .NET framework added on.

C# is a .NET language. They are the same thing.

C# (see section on name, pronunciation) is an object-oriented programming language developed by Microsoft as part of the .NET initiative and later approved as a standard by ECMA (ECMA-334) and ISO (ISO/IEC 23270). Anders Hejlsberg leads development of the C# language, which has a procedural, object-oriented syntax based on C++ and includes influences from aspects of several other programming languages (most notably Delphi and Java) with a particular emphasis on simplification.
