Ok, so I've fixed up my boot.ini issue (rebuilt it using the recovery console--thanks Slovach); my computer still isn't working. So what do I do now?
I've even thrown a FIXBOOT at it, and it still refuses to go farther than a black screen after the Windows XP logo and the little progress bar.

what the hell did you even do to your poor computer?
Maybe it's time to put that installation out to pasture and reformat.
I think some linux distros can read NTFS though, maybe you could save some shit that way.
or you can just format and hope for the best and if you're lucky you can recover some shit that managed to avoid being overwritten yet.

I was debugging Minesweeper with IDA (that I downloaded from their website). Then, my comp froze, and when I rebooted, it went into "Pure Faggotry Mode".
If I have to reformat it, I'll probably pop this into my dad's computer and save some data that way (hopefully). If not, then thank Jesus himself.
~~
I really have no idea what to do, though.
If anyone could help, that'd be awsome.
Edit:
There is always the option of reinstalling Windows, but I'm gonna be pretty pissed if I have to do that.

Repair install?
._.
My friend sent me this link, and I read something about a floppy disk. I forgot that I had one in there, but it usually doesn't matter.
Just rebooted and tried, still nothing.

You might want to try repairing the master boot record. Though I'm not sure if it'll help, at all, it's worth a shot.
Still, if all else fails, you always can consider reformatting.
EDIT: fixboot + fixmbr
EDIT2: Just, for the record, exactly why were you trying to debug Minesweeper?

"FIXMBR may damage your partition tables if you proceed.
This could cause all the partitions on the current hard disk to become inaccessible."

Meh, it's your choice to try it or not. I probably wouldn't trust someone with 24 posts, either.
Do you see your mouse after the XP loading bar/screen, or is it just a stil black screen?
If you can see your mouse, I might be lead to believe somehow your IDA/minesweeper endeavor somehow destroyed your explorer.exe.

Oh shit...
Thanks a ton; I'd rep you but I have to wait 11097 seconds ~ 3 hours to rep anyone.
I'll go do that now.
Edit:
Oh yeah, I forgot.
Whenever I put in the real CD (I have a RC CD), it can't load past telling me "Windows Setup" at the top nd "Setup is starting Windows" at the bottom.
=/

Because it wipes the registry, meaning you have to reinstall all of your applications that require registry entries (like for example, games, or VS 2005 which takes a hell of a long time to install).
Edit:
I was just screwing around with Minesweeper for the hell of it. I saw some people in the GP section had found the address of the About button or whatever, so I figured it'd be kinda cool and tried it out myself.
