|
|
I recently downloaded a game called Twelve Sky to be able to further my hacking knowledge, however, after attaching WPE Pro to 12Sky.exe and I began to scan for packets my results come up in garbled hex mess. After trying to send the packets I get a connection error and am booted out. I have tried to recreate the same instance(in this case attacking) and keep scanning. The hex, garbled as it is, has some main similarities between the original and the recreated instances. I realized that the differences were probably caused by changes in damage, exp gained, and time. So far no luck figuring a patern and decrypting them. If any of you have a generic packet decoder or are just willing to share your knowledge please do so. Any help is appreciated.

So "View": "Options": Untick everything except Recv?
Am I right so far?
Then what and how do you do that for the buffer?

No, i think he means to set a break point in a debugger.
If you look at the disassembly you see recv() is called and the buffer is the incoming data. And send is just the opposite.
