Everything was okay, Until I saw the Video Card and that it was a Dell, I don't think you can overclock this so the computer is sorta...bad. I have this Pentium 3 Dell that I can't overclock because Dell sucks, not sure if you could overclock that one though.

Well, there is an option to upgrade it to nVidia Geforce 8600GT 256mb, I mean dells aren't that bad, I've been running on this computer(which is dell) for about 4 years now. XD

Edit: What does overclocking it do btw?

Basically makes some parts of your computer run faster than usual. Depending on what you overclock. Which causes better performance, BUT generates heat because the parts run faster and takes more power to make them run faster. This may be bad for your computer depending on how much you overclock.
Here is a link so you can read about it:

get the 8600gt its worth it, overclocking increases speed like processor for example 2.3 you overclock it to like 2.6 or so. Dell locks your bios so you cant overclock unless you have the xps. Overclocking is only recommended for the pros cuz you can really burn something out in like 3 seconds

No.. Anyone can overclock. It just takes common sense. Which isn't so common Wink
Just read some guides and you can learn how to overclock. If its done only by pros, where do normal people begin? It is not so hard.

No, I overclocked the first system I built and it was pretty simple. And the only reason I mentioned overclocking was because the E4500 is a good overclocker and reaches 3.6 on stock cooling with some minor voltage tweaks.

Memory could be upgraded to 4G if you want. Vista...er... good luck with that.

Vista is horrible if you don't customize it. (I.e. turn off everything...) The only reason why I want Vista curently is for the DX10 graphics.

But defiantly upgrade the Video Card.

You most likely won't want to overclock it, just for simplicity's sake.

You could use it for gaming, just expect to run everything at medium-low/medium settings, possibly medium-high if the game has been out for a year and a half or more.

Chances are for whatever you're doing you won't need to overclock, and if you want to game at all definitely upgrade the video, no question there. The 8600 will be decent, but don't expect too much from it.

just don't rush it (raising the FSB 50mhz at once isn't that smart), then it's easy, when it gets less stable, you make it a bit slower.

Build your own computer, that thing is a piece of crap.
It will simply allow you to run web browsers and n33b games for a long time, no real fun.

Edit: If you insist on buying a dell, buy one with the MINIMUM specs for that model, being sure to get the minimum RAM and video card, and maybe even hard drive as well, then upgrade it.
Much cheaper.

Take a look at this.
