I still don't see why we need more than 2 cores. I can play Wow, listen to music, download about 10 movies, and burn movies at the same time.
We really don't need 6 cores.

A touch screen doesn't require any more CPU power than a standard monitor, and voice recognition doesn't take much power at all.
Still, I've used both voice activation and touch screens and I wasn't impressed. |

Me either, especially with Opera. What I really want to see is a computer go over 10GHz.

no.
Also CoD4, Crysis, any Source engine games and Unreal (not actually sure about this one) can scale to 8+ cores happily. Then again I'm trying to remember this off the top of my head, go look on HardOCP for the skulltrail preview. |
