well anywayz, that computer is like ancient! lol, even my old piece of shit is better than that! and it still is horrible and really slow...

My advice! stop being stuck in the 1990's(in terms of computer speeds)

Sell one of your condos, and buy a computer WITH ALOTTTTA RAM!!!!

RAM IS MOST IMPORTANT, its what I've realized really speeds up the computer a ton! I wouldn't settle for anything less that 4GB RAM

then processor is next in importance, but not as much so as ram, as long as its a new processor above 2 GHz youll be fine...(can't buy a new computer with any less than that anyway these days)

then hard drive space, get the most you can!

then usually the default graphics card will do just fine, unless u can afford to upgrade that too Wink

Those are the important things needed for a fast computer... once you go 4 gig you never go back Razz

some of the ram is reserved so it only shows 3.62

Integrated GFX sux for you...

seriously just upgrading ram wont be that good since your processor is crap, it will help a bit but not much, my suggestion just get a new comp or upgrade your parts like motherboard which basically means new computer. Heres mines btw and that guy ss above who has 4gigs of ram go run a 64bit os you will get better speeds than 32

Very Happy

Motherboard, CPU and RAM
not sure but most P3 motherboards dont survive a 1Gb 'o RAM
I'd go for a upgrade set like;
Intel E2140
A Gigabyte P35 motherboard
and 2x1Gb RAM
(for about 180 dollar total)

damn o_O well your processor sucks , but if u dont really know how to go about buyin a new mother board+processor then just get around 2gb of ram for ure comp

how come there are prices that range from 30 bucks to 150 for 1 gb of ram? and if i bought the 30 dolllar one would it make much of a differance>?

i think he means DDR2 ram with that. and as far as i know, your pc doesn't have that.
i think you should save up for a new computer, this kind of stuff can almost be called ancient.

if you don't need top performance (almost everything is an improvement from that) you can make one very cheap, you can buy parts on newegg.com if you're american.

Oh yah, and with a pentium III, your looking at like $200 RAM because of its oldness.
In computers, buying old technology new = EXPENSIVE.
Get a new computer dude, or maybe build one.

Your main priority would be getting RAM, but that ancient thing probably takes DDR RAM - you're looking at 100-200$ for a gig of DDR RAM.

You'd probably be better off just getting yourself a new computer. If you're as rich as you say you are, it really shouldn't be too big of a deal. If you really care about conserving money, you could probably get a cheap, half decent computer off eBay for about $200-300.
