You've already voided the warranty by opening it and fucking with it..if it has a warranty why didn't you just get it taken in for servicing? |

| If he were to dual boot, he should dual OS X if that was a choice. I hear that its good for business work, like presentations and such. |

Dual boot is having 2 OSes on yoour harddrive, so you can choose how you want to boot, for example: XP Pro and Vista Home Premium. _________________

As for dual boot, it was explained in an earlier post.
As for the computer, it's an awesome price if it includes everything needed, but you won't play any new games on it, or run Vista well at all. |

Which the AMD Sempron? or Intel Celeron?, Vista runs fine expect for start up, and stupid compatiblility issues.. i had to remove half of my pirated software(printer, etc) in order not to get BSOD on vista..
Really annoying
oh and the best part is i cant dual boot.. i would have to format then install Vista, I asked the guy where i bought it from and he said microsoft is just trying to cramp everyone into vista _________________

Both the Sempron and Celeron are outdated.
I meant something more on the lines of Aero features. |

We did clean the heatsink but the CPU processor chip was glued on the back of the heatsink and then when we tried to put it in, the chip got messed up..
We forgot for this computer type, you cant just pull the heatsink off..
Total cost of repairing=$200
Rather buy a new computer |
OMFG.... You didnt unlock clip holding the sinc to the board and broke it didnt you?
This is a perfect example of why people who dont know jack should not touch the inside of a pc and learn something about it before attempting so.
Also i was wondering if you was going to pull it off with it powered up, then you would see blue fire and some smoke.
G.J. Mate... Now you know how to get your dad to buy a new pc. |

| Putting in and Pulling heatsink is hard. I got some cuts on my knuckles doing that, but I was stupid and I was doing it when the motherboard was in the case. I suggest taking the motherboard out first. :] |

I suggest getting a pc repairman to do it
especially if you don't know what you're doing _________________
