Temperature on nVidia 8800 GTX

Just wondering, but what is the normal temperature range for a nVidia 8800 GTX?

I'm slightly worried on how hot my card is running. Right now its running at 57 C and I'm not doing anything fancy, and have it set to 8-bit color, though I'm running at 1900X1200 resolution.

Its on my laptop, and the fan is running at what seems like about half speed.

At full speed I've seen the temp go down to 36 C, but I'm in a class room and can't have my laptop running its fans at full, so I'm stuck with them at medium speed.

Those temps are fine, quite good actually. Nothing to worry about, just raise your color depth Shocked

I set it to 8-bit because I was hoping that it would cause the card to not run as hot.

I was just trying to change things to make it run cooler.
Usually I run it at 32-bit.

And this is a Sager 9262 Laptop (its built on the Clevo D901C)

Graphics cards run much hotter than CPU's, and thats a fine temp.
But again.
WTF!!?!?! 8800GTX + LAPTOP = ?

Didn't you here, NVIDIA managed to fit an 8800GTX without it melting all the other parts.

Dell XPS M1730 laptop with 2x NVIDIA 8800M GTX in SLi

I guess that's a good temperature for that kind of high-performance card.

I have the Glare Type Screen, X6800 Processor, Single 8800 GTX, 2 GB RAM, X2 160GB Seagate Momentus HDs, and XP.

But, ok, good, I was looking at that and was thinking to myself "that seems way too high..."

even my dads pc with that shitty GeForce 2MX (with 8800 GTX Drivers WTF) runs on 32 bit colors
