For 170 you could probably get a 19-inch widescreen with decent specs... But I got my 22-inch widescreen for 230, not much more, I'd go with a 22-inch, it's big, but when you play games it rocks.

i have a 19-inch screen right now... but it cost me like 200$ but the only reason why is because the monitor has a 2ms response time.

I don't care about spending a little more for a good screen.
"do you want a gewd monitor or an average one"
A really good one please.
So can anyone configure me one?

Thank you so much man.
Also, is the monitor really good for its price? Because I saw some with higher contrast ratio (Which determine its sexyness from what I know) and there cheaper. Is there any sort of reason why you chose this one?
Also, wont I need more RAM? Since 2 is not that much. And everything is compatible right? If everything is as good as it sounds I'm going to buy it Wednesday. Also, is overclocking easy? Because I'm scared I might break that computer if I do.
Should I get this so my computer will run faster? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186134
and what about this? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227284

No dude, most of the E8400's will easily clock at 4.0 on air cooling.
The case i provided is MORE than enough cooling than you'll need, but if you plan to overclock past 4.0 then i suggest getting two Ballistix sticks (RAM), as they clock faster than the two HyperX's that I provided. Also, a Scythe Ninja Plus B (Heatsink).
And YES, 1000:1 contrast ratio is all you will need.

ONLY ONE CONFIGURATION?!?!
Come on now people! More more more!
Also, I was just given the awesome idea of having a sticky of computers to build. Eg; have a set-up for a $1,000 computer, $2,000 computer, etc.
Anyone willing to do this since I suck at configuring computers?

I'll contribute. For price points say $500, $1000, $1500, $2000, $3000?
I'll PM you my ideas when I have time.

Some forum already has that.. not sure whether it's juicy-computer or techsupportforum, but that is a good idea. =D

As far as the RAM, both have the same timings etc so they will both be pretty much the same.
As for the processor, the Q6600 will be more future proof and multi-task better. If you won't be multitasking at all and this is strictly a gaming machine, go for the E8400. Either chip will perform excellent in gaming so I'd lean more towards the Q6600. If you intend to overclock a bit then the Q6600 for sure.
