|
|
im getting 20 address for the game oregon trail i am using trainer maker kit and normaly this would not be a problem but when the game restarts it assigns a value to the address you had so you cant just make a 1 button changes all values kind of thing because it will crash the game. so what i need is to know how i can make it so the number value is right next to the button i would press to do it so i would have 10 buttons sitting there and i would look for what ever botton had the games value next to it so i can press that to add money to the game.
thanks in advanced!

Looks like you came across a pointer.
Find what writes to the address, click the instruction, go to more info. CE will tell you what you have to search. Search it in 4 byte hex. If you got more than one, restart your game and see if any of the addresses point to the right address.
Remember, green is a static address.

He is using TMK to make a trainer, so all he has to do is find what writes,reads or access's it and alter the assembly using the bytes.
Then test it out, if you got it right. Then write down everything you did and poke the address's with tmk.

thanks but i already did that i made that. i set it all up real nice but once i do that when the game restarts the botton does not work and about 90% of the time it will crash the game... it assigns the address another value.
do you guys know anyway around this or way to show what the value of the address is within tmk so i can say oo look at that this botton says 100$ thats the botton i got to push in order to edit the game without it crashing thanks!

EDIT: No its oregon trail II
yes that is what it is but i have narrowed it down to 20 address it switches to i would like a way to know what botton to click if i make a trainer with 20 bottons without crashing the game is there a way to show something like this
====================================
=Add 1000$ (address: AB534Df Amount: 23.3123)=
====================================
So then when i look at the value in game and say ooo its 500$ oo but look at that button one says 23.12 i guess thats not it but look button 2 says 500!
is there anyway that you know of how to do that? ive been researching it for like 2 hours now help please..

I'm betting it's a pointer, find it and it won't matter what it changes to because you'll always know.
Or when you find what writes to it, just alter the assembly, then you won't have to worry about anything changing.

If it is a old enough game i can make one myself possibly.
Also, slovach is confusing you by saying what he said.
If the game is doing a code shift, the pointer wont matter cause it will change as well. But i dont think thats whats happening in this game.
Can you show me some images of what you find?
What writes to the address.
More info box.
Possibly memory view with the address you found of what writes to the address in upper and lower memory views?

I figured as much that it confused him considering he said it did.
You want to select the working address, right click it, and select Find what writes to this address. Go back ingame, make it change somehow then come back out. Post a picture of said results.

its pretty simple .. we are also using this as a anti cheat
the game has a function which picks a random number and based on this number the game score is saved in various places .. changing any 1 during the game will result in crash .. coz all x amt of them have to be the same..pretty simple..
changing 1 will not change others coz all of them calculate the score independent of each other...
this is 1 simple anti hack..there are loads more
