*slaps you over the internet for even suggesting that*

BOSE is about the worst value you can get. Average quality and sound at high-end price, no thanks.

Anyway, not to hijack this thread but can anyone recommend to me some headphones? I've never bought any good headphones before, always just used speakers, but headphones may be a nice change.

I want something that will block outside sound fairly well, and sound flat, not over-emphasizing anything. Budget would be around $100-200. It would be for at my computer so looks aren't really important.

blackdiamond, I was looking at that PCI-e sound card and it looked pretty good. Would that be a good card for music listening? I don't intend to record or anything with it, so I don't wanna overpay for any features like that.

Is it for your MP3 player?
Tim reccomended this for MP3 players.

If for the computer, Tim said these are great.

#2 can do alot, and can be fully utilized best with a computer as opposed to using it on a MP3 player.

#1 is good.

I plan on getting #1, since it'll be for my MP3 player, when I get it.

Ask Tim [XDEV] if you needa know more. He was helpful.

I don't like the fact that they're open though and let you hear outside sounds, I'd like to block out the computer noise if at all possible. Any ones similar to that that block sound better?

I need ones with great sound quality and such.
What do you all reccomend?

great sound huh?

check out this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826106358&Tpk=HD%2b650

very expensive, but the audio quality is phenominal.
you also need a good soundcard to unleash it's potential.
i would recommend this:

PCI-E: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829132005

PCI: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829132001

Thanks man.
Also, love your music man.
Its some of the best shit I've ever heard.

No problem. It looks like i just got a new fan.

if you want something cheaper, i use these:
http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD595-HD-595-Premier-Headphone/dp/B0001FTVE0/ref=pd_bbs_9?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1202414006&sr=8-9

the good thing on this is that you can also listen to normal music, those 500 dollar ones are so good, your mp3 collection becomes junk (you hear every imperfection.
