If you install a new hard drive, you'd either have to clone it or reinstall your OS on it to make it bootable.
As far as the max amount of hard drives, it depends on how many ports are on the board, how powerful your power supply is, and space in the case for them. In most systems about 4 is the limit, though you can get more ports by putting in an expansion card.

Thanks also im getting a plexi glass case with neon lighting it has a tempature gage, im thinking of getting a duo core prosser, probly intel. i plan on overclocking it with water cooling instead of air. not alot but say if its 2.5GHz ill Oc it to like 3.5-4 if thats the safe limit i suppose. im not sure if i should get a duo core or single core prossecer though, i do alot of multi tasking/gameing on World of warcraft so im not 100% sure. i do plan on putting in 2 hard drives a new one i will take the windows OS and copy it to the new one. can the hard dvies be in the same port?

Okay first... never get a single core. They are old. Dual cores are now. Quad... ahead of their time.
About the harddrive... You'd probably be able to have 2. You just need to copy the files over somehow.

Get a dual core for sure.
If they're IDE drives then yes they can be on the same port, you just have to set the jumpers correctly(Master on the boot drive, Slave on the secondary.)

Alright once i get them im getting water cooling the one i want also has a RAM heat sink, the case is a medium case but i think i can fit the things in there. motherboard waise i might get a used one but i want to upgrade the CPU how do i know what size to get?.
Case
Liquid cooling
I'm still not sure what i want to do with the motherboard:( im thinking a used one and a new cpu i dont for see many problems with that.
I was thinking this for the MB MotherBoard
Only thing i don't like is the price for the CPU....

For a cheap but good overclocking board I'd recommend the DFI p965-s Dark, you can also get dual core chips very cheaply, look into the E2140. Both of the things I listed will fit in socket 775.
Also, not a good idea to attempt water cooling unless you're experienced, one leak is all it takes to kill your hardware.
