XP is around 6gb, not that it really impacts how much faster it is than Vista.

Can't be. Vista Home Premium is about 11.4GB. Vista Ultimate should be about 12~16GB.
Also, just because UCEs don't work for Vista, doesn't mean it sucks. You honestly think hacking is all you can do on a computer?

All UCEs dont work on it as well as that all memory adresses change everytime makign sure that a pointer is nesecary for every adress (really stinks, I know). and XP isnt for sale anymore, and the only thing good about Vista is the modern look and nothing else, not to mention the sucky compatibility and I know half of you are going to say "LINUX" but 'NO" I am sticking with windows. Any other solutions apart from linux cause Im gonna completely erase vista for something else. |
I used to think like you. i believed that vista was a piece of shit. but when i got a new computer with vista already installed.. i thought it was a great OS. I think your the kind of person that has not tried vista for yourself. i have it now and it works great. sometimes even better than xp.
1) xp is for sale. i was at best buy and saw windows xp pro for sale.
2)yes it does look very good. and it runs very smoothly.
3)every windows xp program i have put onto vista has worked perfectly. i did not even have to use compatibility mode.
4) linux is a good OS if you are computer literate.
5) don't delete vista, waste of your time. just stick with it.
6) if you said "xp is not for sale anymore" and then "im not going with linux" then what OS are you going to use besides vista?..

I see... I got all the updates except language packs and SP1(if I'm not much mistaken, SP1 is a pack which contains all the updates which we get from auto updates).

You need a lot of space to use vista, since you can use programs of almost any windows version on it...
NOTE: an service pack is a compilation of lots of updates not available as kbs or partial updates. Vista's SP1 is presently in beta testing.
