if u play very popular games (Blizzard games, CS, ...) linux will be best (for school work like writing it's best) but if u play less popular games there somtimes will be a problem i mean games lik Dungeon Keeper for example

No linux then, i really need microsoft word...so stick with vista, any other suggestions of different software or hardware?
Games i will be playing ( when i get the 2GB upgrade) are like call of duty 4 and games like that.
Okay so linux or vista?

you get openoffice with linux :
same (sometime more function, u can also safe as .doc e.g.)
less main space needed (microsoft: 700MB open: 100MB)
crashes less often
AND IT'S FREE
and here u can see games that WILL work (they are not the only that run with linux):

You still cant play games in it
Unless you use WMVware, which you might as well have
a windows o/s if you have one handy.

Hmmm....i think i'll stick with Vista for now, and maybe change to Linux in a few weeks.

I would suggest makeing a bootable CD of linux first, try it for
size, see if you like it, if so, Go a head and use it

ooooh, there are endless themes, updates, features,... for linux (and very less viruses i don't use a antivirus for around 1 month and surfing on every side e.g. playing flash games from every site) and got no virus
but there are less themes, updates, features for windows but much bugs, viruses, intruder, spyware, trojans and adware are there

search google or a magazine with a boot CD wont be hard to find ( KDE theme looks nice )
search DSL = damn small linux it's only 50 MB and graphical + firefox ver nice for beginning
