|
|
(I had to make a new account, i completely lost my old one so I'm not a noob.)
I have recently purchased a Toshiba Satellite Pro L40 laptop and wish to upgrade it to improve it, here are its details:
Ram-503 MB
Processor-Intel(R) Celeron(R) M CPU 440 @ 1.86GHz 1.86 GHz
System Type- 32-bit Operating System
I am running Windows Vista Basic.
I am going to upgrade the Ram to 2GB,any good sites?
I would also like to upgrade some other things, but what do you think i should upgrade, how much would it cost and where could i get it?
Thanks if you could help me.

I know, only ship to US, is this site any good?
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/
Or
http://www.ebuyer.com/
Can you look through these sites please and help me find some good upgrades for my laptop?
I have around 100 pounds to spend.

| School work and gaming mostly and installing Linux, would that affect my laptop in any other way, and is it better than Vista basic?

Only if you want to be a l33t coder
But if your dooing School work and gaming mostly then i would not recomend it.
If your realy hooked on getting it, do a dule-boot or a hot CD (bootable CD?)
Or even boot from a pendrive
