Lets say i have windows vista, but i want to install windows xp. How do i do it?

Be more literate.
Since you sound like a fag, I'll just give you the general outline.
Get the install disk image.
Burn the image.
Run the disk.
ta-da.

Get xp disk.
Close your computer.
When starting, Insert disk.
Then f12.
Go to the option of boot from cd/dvd.
THe rest is a no brainer.

Vista has some sort of protection against upgrading to XP, believe there is a certain way you have to do it.

Here it is. The setps in red are a must do!
1. Insert Disk into Computer.
2. Restart Computer.
3. Choose 'Boot from CD'.
4. Press Enter to continue.
5. Press F8 to agree.
6. Keep doing what it says to continue (Just keep clicking enter or entering 'yes').
7. Choose format NSTF files, don't matter which one.
8. Wait about an hour or two.
9. Enter your serial key.
10. Come back and thank me.

just use quick format and save yourself the time.

Okay, so i just put in my xp disk and delete the vista partition, but lets say i have a recovery drive.I delete the xp partition and keep the recovery drive ,so i can go back to vista with the manufactured vista disk.
