i've got a better idea then P2P downloads
go to police and tell them u are illegal downloading it's faster
or if u want a CD buy it it dont costs much more if u calculate the costs of electric energy

Downloading music for yourself only is legal. If it weren't, LimeWire and a lot of other P2P programs would have already been shut down. IF you distribute it, share it, sell it, then it becomes illegal.

Lol, they are still legal because they are hosted in different countries, such as Canada (Limewire) and Finland (iMesh).
Their governments couldn't care less about American artists' whining about their music being pirated.

| Download songs that doesn't belond to you is illegal. When you use Limewire you are only suppose to download music that is not copyrighted. And you do share the things you download on limewire, that's why it's called Peer2Peer? :]

You would be surprised how much power the Music/Entertainment industry has over the government. Since this isn't a political section, I won't rant about it.
@Sm4rtOne; I always move any music I download to my MP3 player or my external HD.

I don't think so, but, I'm just going by what I've been told / read. Had to do a big ass paper on the Music Industry and how MP3's were affecting it last semester, so, I'm basing all my above statements off of that.

Geez. I feel like I'm being interrogated. 
Anyway, as I said above, I was going by what I read for a report, I myself don't share the same views about what should be illegal/legal in terms of downloading music/movies/etc. Personally, I think there should be no rules against it.
