| which one should i learn first? I started with C++ but i read on a site that ASM will give me a better base on programing

Uh... ASM is necessary for hacking, but in case you just want to program I suggest knowing C++ first.
But you're right, ASM is good to know, at least at a small basis before struggling with C++.
I hope you find programming fun, and don't give up when you get errors
Good luck!

ASM is not just hacking... and I prefer calling it "reversing" or "debugging and tracing after the code to 'fix' it"
I'd say ASM, necessary for many things and its used almost in every language, so if you want to know how to work with the memory you should probably learn assembly and see how a program works.

Asm is just a step up from machine langaug.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assembly_language#Assembly_language
For this fact it is faster and works on a lower level than c++ or other high level langauges. Personally i put programing into these levels.
| Quote: |
0. Machine langauge such as binary, and hexadecimal
1. Assembly
2. High level langauges
3. High'st level langauges // I just believe these dont offer as much in one or more of these areas control, speed, efficiency.
|
And here are examples for 1-3
| Quote: |
1. Masm, Tasm, Hla
2. C++,C
3.C#, Visual Basic
|
For most programs High level langauges are good. High'st level langauges tend to be based on rad or simplicity thus tend to have problems with the areas of speed, efficiency, or control.
Really most of your programing will be in c++ so you should learn that first unless you do alot of auto assembly in cheatengine, or reverse engineering, and cracking of software.
And really most things computer programing are put in two catagorys.

1.Low level
2. High level

Assembly = 1
C++ = 2

It's a low-level machine language =/. Reversing != ASM..
Reverse engineering is to 'reverse'/make it as a high level language as well though.
"Know how to work with memory" - LOL
Loasplagos said the basics.. I say you should learn C++ and maybe some ASM basics that you can learn in about 2 hours.
I preffer to start with C but if you want C++ it's ok too.

I mean, when spawnfestis said "ASM is for hacking"...

I didn't mean I prefer calling ASM "reversing"... I know the diffrances, unlike spawnfestis...

There are generations aswell. The higher up its generation, the more simplistic and "english like" it is.
