my sound keeps goin dodgey on ma pc i tried to go on sound control or something to c if i could sort it out but it says the is no mixer active or something how do i sort this out + rep to anybody who gets it to work

To be frank, this has never happened to me, but I have heard about it before. Here are some questions, and if you would be a nice as to answer them I may be able to help you further:

1) Has this happened as you as you used the sound card for the first time (As is have you just installed it and is this your first time using it) ? If not, how long have you been using this card for?
2) What sound card do you have (the sound card may not even be related to the problem, but it could help to know)?
3) Is this the first time that this happens?
4) Do you have the latest drivers which are compatible for your version of Windows?
